Pre-Night Out

The Abington Police Department, Citizens & Police Together (C.A.P.T) and Joint Town Watch Council will present our 25th Annual Pre-Night Out event on Monday, August 4, 2025. Our block party style event draws thousands of attendees from the community, who stroll among special attractions, displays, information booths and enjoy good food, family fun and entertainment. The event raises awareness of National Night Out, when neighborhoods across America are asked to “Give Crime a Going Away-Party” by turning on porch lights and sitting outside to emphasize the need for citizens to take back their neighborhoods from crime and remain aware, alert and involved. Our evening will feature State, County and Local Crime Prevention & Safety Demonstrations and Displays, Community Information Booths, Local Business Information Booths, Good Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, along with giveaways for the kids, music, performers, games and face painting.
